The Chios Mastiha Growers Association held a special event on October 24th, 2018 in Los Angeles, USA. Professionals from the industry of food, beverage, health-food products, natural cosmetics and HORECA, as well as nutritionists, journalists and bloggers attended the event that took place at Fellow LA Restaurant.
Sarah Delevan, Food Expert, introduced the campaign «European PDO products: Precious drops» and raised awareness on European PDO and PGI products. They’ve presented the unique PDO products: PDO Masticha Chiou (Mastiha crystals), PDO Mastichelaio Chiou (Mastiha oil) and PDO Tsikla Chiou (Mastiha gum) by sharing their knowledge about history and highlighting the uses and the benefits of the products.
The approximately 35 professionals, who attended the event, were impressed to discover a special menu and cocktails with Chios Mastiha as main ingredient. They’ve watched the campaign’s video with great interest. Attendees were given information kits with interesting information, photographs, brochures as well as Chios Mastiha gifts.
The event took place in the framework of the program “European PDO Products: Precious Drops”, financed with aid from the European Union and Greece.
